I missed out on MoonJune Records last Bandcamp Friday, oops! So, this weeks Dewa-in-nyc-campaign came as a nice reminder not to get sloppy supporting this valiant label/cause. I think the Indonesian guitar master's 2018 album was the last of his MoonJune works, that didn't make it into my collection but disappeared in the depths of the wishlist. Hereby fixed ;-)
His co-workers on this album are more of a (prog) rock crowd than the jazz cats assembled on his other MoonJune recordings. Carsten Pieper
Fans of Dream Theater will really dig this band. They perfectly nail that synth/distorted guitar blend that is so wonderfully satisfying. At times the tracks get a bit too chaotic/messy, but there's still so much to love here and the first six tracks are simply incredible. These guys have me excited about the new generation of prog. And now I really want to be their singer, hahah. zacH
